Last night, I flipped on the Simpsons (Season 2, Disc 1, Episode: Simpson and Delilah) and just as I did so, my Wii Optical Disc Light lit up with that stunning bright distracting blue. I didn’t want the light on all night so I turned on the Wii and checked the message board.
Sure enough there was a message from Nintendo. Apparently there was a new Wii System Update available for the Check Mii Out. I clicked “Update” like the friendly message told me. So I try to go to the Check Mii Out Channel after that and I get this message:

So, I go to the Wii Shop Channel and download the newest version. I go back to the Check Mii Out Channel and get turned away again with the same message. I tried doing another Wii System Update. That didn’t work.
Is this a widespread problem or am I going crazy? I’m pretty sure I’m going crazy.
(Please excuse the obscure Wayne’s World reference in the title.)

Are you kidding? Have you read my blog? I’m a nerd. My idea of a sport is playing Zelda. I don’t have any Super Bowl Picks.
Speaking of Zelda, I’ve got really addicted to Twilight Princess.
I decided to lay off the Guitar Hero for a while because I was listening to music and realized that I was screaming out, “Green, Orange, Blue, Yellow, Green, Orange, Blue!”
Anyway, I went through the ol’ Wii game collection. From the bottom of the pile I pulled something out. I blew some dust off and read the title: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Ah, yes! I remembered this game. I popped it in and started playing (I had to dig out the ol’ Nunchuk too).
The game’s memory told me I hadn’t played since April ‘07.
It all came back to me. I rounded up the goats in about thirty seconds, I went fishing with ease, and pretty soon I was running through the woods in search of some monkey and some kid. This was the reason I hadn’t played since April. You see, I was lazier then and all those monsters swarming at me… well, nine months later, it didn’t take long to save the stupid kid. So, now I’m addicted to Zelda.
