I have a secret related to the Super Smash Bros. series… concerning the second game… Super Smash Bros. Melee. Here it is:
I hated that game. It was like too much mayonnaise in between my two delicious pieces of Italian Herbs and Cheese bread from Subway. I never finished unlocking all the characters. The main reason I didn’t like it was because I hate the Gamecube Controller. My fingers are too long to get a good-feeling grip on that thing… and my fingers aren’t even that long! I’d call the Nintendo Gamecube Controller Nintendo’s biggest flop.

I bought Super Smash Bros. Melee the other day. I don’t have a Gamecube. I play it on my Wii. There are a lot of problems. My Gamecube memory card is with my sister (along with my copy of MarioKart: Double Dash), who lives far away – in Seattle. The other problem is that my Gamecube controller’s control stick is falling apart.
I bought it to hold me over until Brawl comes out, because when Brawl comes out, man oh man, you won’t be hearing from me on this blog for several weeks because I will be playing it non-stop.
For those of you who have played Melee, you know that the Ice Climbers might be thought of as “not that good.” I picked up on them right away. I’m pretty good with them, but I am quite literally unstoppable with Sheik.

Well, nothing interesting has happened for a couple days. I was waiting for something interesting like this to happen before I make another post. This is very post-worthy. Super Smash Bros. Brawl has an official North American release date set for December 3, 2007.
Can I wait that long? No. However, I am very glad that a release date was finally set. It feels good, very good.
Is it just me or does December 3 suddenly feel like lightyears away. I may pass the time by buying Super Smash Bros. Melee; I may not; I never really liked that one that much.
This release date isn’t the only exciting new for Brawl today – Donkey Kong will join the cast for yet another year of people saying that he’s an overweight, slow-moving, worthless character. I disagree. I’ll always honor him because the announcement of him joining the cast came on the same day as the announcement of the release date.
