Gaming April Fool

Tuesday, April 1st, 2008

I really don't like April Fool's Day. A bunch of people that think they're funny try to ruin the fun of gamers - I'm talking about April Fool's Day on the internet.
So far, today, I've read that there is a new Wii channel coming out for Smash Bros. Brawl that will let you download "one billion" new characters and "ten gajillion" new stages. Also you'll be able to "defeat every boss by distracting them with cute kittens" in Zelda: Twilight Princess.
This was not funny. I was pretty excited for a couple of seconds.
I hate April Fool's Day on the internet.

Mario Kart Wii News

Wednesday, February 6th, 2008

I've been focusing a lot on Brawl on this site, but I think I should maybe talk about the other game I'm really looking forward to: Mario Kart Wii. I've done my homework and I have some news.
- Miis are playable drivers that you can upload from the Mii Channel. This is good news. (I wanted them to be in Brawl, but this isn't about Brawl. It's about the poor, over-looked Mario Kart Wii.) Miis need to be in more compilation games, like a certain upcoming brawling game that shall go nameless. They've been in plenty of games, more than Pikmin & Olimar, but that's a bit off topic, right?
- The Gamecube controller may or may not be an optional controller. Seems like a rip-off to me. When they first announced this game they said that it would a revolutionary game in that it would level the playing field between pros and amateurs with the Wii Wheel, but that won't work if the pros are going back to the familiar Gamecube controller.
- Now for the online play news: Their will be twelve players online... interesting. They will introduce a new channel solely for Mario Kart Wii Online data. I don't want this sucking the memory, but oh well.

Least Visited Site Ever?

Wednesday, February 6th, 2008

According to Alexa.com this website is 4,926,003rd most visited website ever. I found their Traffic Data rather interesting. Apparently 30 per cent of the people reading this are from Argentina and in their country this is the 1691,650th most visited website. Unaccepted in my own country, but I'm a sensation in Argentina.
Nineteen per cent of web users are still managing to go to "www.efinke.com"... I'm not sure that's still up and running. Try chrisfinke.com.
We must come together and repeatedly reload the main page to bring us in to the top 100! Are you with me?! Who am I kidding? I'm not even with me.

Thank you for visiting Maybe a Starbucks.
