Not Just Another Default WordPress Blog

December 19th, 2008

Do not be afraid. This is the same “Maybe a Starbucks” you have known and glanced at. I have simply made some changes:
As of today, I have changed this blog’s theme to “iNove,” which I think looks much better.
I have added polls to the top of the sidebar. They currently range from many different topics including the Rutles and Guitar Hero.
I have included a link to my Twitter account. Every time I play any video game, from “Mario Kart 64″ to “Guitar Hero III”, I make an update on my Twitter account. It’s really more of a personal reference for myself.
So the next time you casually glance at this website or accidentally visit here somehow while searching for a Starbucks store, enjoy the new scenery.

Upcoming Wii Games (July ‘08 Edition)

July 8th, 2008

Time for another installment of Upcoming Wii Games. With E3 just around the corner lots of news on great games is popping up.

Guitar Hero IV
Now with drums and vocals. Make your own guitar, make your own character, write your own songs. Can’t wait to make fifteen minute rock anthems. Also, according to a Newsweek article, there may be Beatles songs in this installment.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
This is what I’ve been waiting for since the Wii came out. What can I say?… The Wiimote makes for the perfect lightsaber duel. I had some worries about which of the trilogies this game would chronicle, and I was relieved to find out that I can play as Darth Vader and that was enough for me.

Mega Man 9
The first WiiWare game featured in an ” Upcoming Wii Games” post. The first Mega Man game from the original series in over ten years. The first Mega Man game with a female boss. Plus the price can’t be much because I don’t think they’ve sold anything on the Wii Shop Channel for over $20.

Kid Icarus Wii?
Another series revived after a long absence. I didn’t like the looks of Pit’s concept art, but a bad Kid Icarus adventure?… Impossible.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl II?
Sakurai has mentioned adding a handful of new characters, a continuation of the Subspace Emissary, and other new features that didn’t make it into the original.

I am a True Brawler

March 26th, 2008

I have now unlocked all the hidden characters in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Unlocking Wolf gives you a whole bonanza of prizes. First of all you get Wolf, obviously, but you also unlock Events 29-40, All-Star Mode, some music that I didn’t pay much attention to, and a congratulatory note that tells you that the Brawl is now really just starting.
I played as Wolf once. He’s nothing special. Every character has a different feel (for the most part). Bowser feels heavy. Ganondorf feels slow. Sonic feels fast. Jigglypuff feels light. Wolf feels hollow. It’s strange…
