Earlier today, I was randomly browsing iTunes trying to decide if I should download “Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1″ or “Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3,” when I noticed the same song kept popping up in the “Listeners Also Bought” section: Viva La Vida by Coldplay. I had actually heard of Coldplay before, believe it or not. The night the Grammys aired, I was under the weather and not in the mood to get off the couch and find the remote so that I could change the channel, so I ended up watching the Grammys. Coldplay made some reference to Sgt. Pepper’s so I didn’t automatically hate them. Apparently, Coldplay appeals to fans of many different genres…

Jimmy Fallon, new host of Late Night, has already become funnier from his first episode to his fifth. He’s risen to the rank of my second favorite late night show, which isn’t saying much because Conan’s not on right now and the only other host I find funny anymore is Letterman.
Favorite monologue joke: [From Friday, 3/6/09] “A special Beatles version of the video game Rock Band is coming out… You can play as John. You can play as Paul. You can play as George, or Ringo. And it comes with a full warranty in case Yoko shows up. [Liverpudlian accent while miming playing a guitar] Green, green, red, green, red, green, orange.”*
Favorite celebrity interview: [From Friday, 3/6/09] Drew Barrymore.
Favorite comedy bit: [From Monday, 3/2/09] Conan packing up his dressing room.
Favorite host: Jimmy Fallon (not much competition there).
Favorite episode overall: Friday 3/6/09.
* This could actually be the song “Hey Bulldog” (sort of).

Jimmy Fallon, Late Night TV, The Beatles: Rock Band
A release date has been set for the first Wii game to get me excited since Mario Kart Wii. The Beatles: Rock Band will be released September 9, 2009 (9-9-09). It has been announced that it will be compatible with basically every kind of guitar, drum, or microphone peripheral that has ever been or will ever be released. It has also been announced that there will be forty-five songs in the game, which I will take the liberty of deciding here.
The criteria is simple: the song must be a Beatles song (or any song that has been on an album) that has significant parts for drums, vocals, lead guitar, and rhythm and/or bass guitar. I will also divide it into nine different locations as is common in other Guitar Hero-style games. In order of appearance in the game:
Hamburg, Germany
