Time for another installment of Upcoming Wii Games. With E3 just around the corner lots of news on great games is popping up.
Guitar Hero IV
Now with drums and vocals. Make your own guitar, make your own character, write your own songs. Can’t wait to make fifteen minute rock anthems. Also, according to a Newsweek article, there may be Beatles songs in this installment.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
This is what I’ve been waiting for since the Wii came out. What can I say?… The Wiimote makes for the perfect lightsaber duel. I had some worries about which of the trilogies this game would chronicle, and I was relieved to find out that I can play as Darth Vader and that was enough for me.
Mega Man 9
The first WiiWare game featured in an ” Upcoming Wii Games” post. The first Mega Man game from the original series in over ten years. The first Mega Man game with a female boss. Plus the price can’t be much because I don’t think they’ve sold anything on the Wii Shop Channel for over $20.
Kid Icarus Wii?
Another series revived after a long absence. I didn’t like the looks of Pit’s concept art, but a bad Kid Icarus adventure?… Impossible.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl II?
Sakurai has mentioned adding a handful of new characters, a continuation of the Subspace Emissary, and other new features that didn’t make it into the original.

Upcoming Wii Games
Mostly what I talk about on this blog is Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Bros., and occasionally things like television, food, and society’s downward spiral. But my entire life is not overrun with Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Bros., television, food, and watching society spiral downward. (Although I do spend an unhealthy amount of time playing Mario Kart Wii.)
But I thought I’d compile a list of the things I do with my non-video game time:
– Watching “Arrested Development”. It has recently replaced “The Simpsons” as my favorite show.
– Watching “The Simpsons.” Although it now plays second fiddle to “Arrested Development”, I still watch it all the time.
– Reading. This is what I do most of the time. Recently, I’ve read The Year of Living Biblically, Double Wonderful, and Clapton: The Autobiography.
– Miscellaneous iPod Touch wandering. I’m bored a lot so I tend to randomly stare at the same things on my iPod. I’ve watched my image slideshow about a hundred time (it consists of five images. Five!).
– Newsweek.com – I visit Newsweek.com on my iPod on a daily basis, and read something that interests me on a weekly basis. If I’m really bored I’ll read anything on there.
About Me
I’ve made several lists of my own for characters that should be in Super Smash Bros. and I thought I should make one for Mario Kart, so here goes:
Goomba – they would make a nice lightweight character that could replace one of those ridiculous babies.
Major Burrows – you know the evil mole from Super Mario Galaxy? The interesting thing about this racer could be that he drives underground and all you can see is his tunnel, except for when he’s hit by items and flying over jumps.
Kamek (a. k. a. Magikoopa) – This guy was originally going to be in Mario Kart 64 but they replaced him with a more “famous” character, Donkey Kong. Anyway, I really got to like this guy while I was beating him in Super Mario Galaxy. (Also he has major potential if they ever
think of using character-specific items again.)
Space Bees – Yet another character stemming from my love of Super Mario Galaxy. Also they
can replace another baby character.
Also a great new item could be the spring mushroom from Galaxy.
