Wii’s New Feature

January 14th, 2008

The Wii has a feature that is long overdue. You can now connect a USB keyboard into your Wii’s ports and type with it – which is what I’m doing right now. Saves time and energy!
But the Internet on the Wii still has some kinks to work out. I will suggest them here, and in the off-chance that a Nintendo Executive actually reads this pathetic little blog, I want credit!
You should be able to save, download, and upload images. Even if you save them to your main computer, I figure there’s gotta be a way… (ready for this?) Those images are saved on to the computer tower’s hardware which is hooked up to a modem which is hooked up to a router which radiates wireless internet which is picked up by the Wii. Therefore, it’s got to be possible… right?
This next one is a little less possible. You should be able to insert a CD Rom and play. It would probably take mass recalling and recalibrating and would cause Nintendo to lose millions, but hey, that’s a risk I’m willing to take.

After reading past entries in my blog, I’ve realized something… I might be slightly cynical. Also, I type “…” way too much.

Tales from the Online World of Gaming

January 13th, 2008

I’ve become addicted to online play – mainly on Guitar Hero. I’ve spent the last five and a half hours destroying people on Guitar Hero… and, yeah, I may have been beat a few times… technicalities.
I have some stories about my online play:
I tend to lean towards Expert most of the time. I’m not like one of those people who’s too big for his britches. I can handle Expert… except for three songs – Holiday in Cambodia, Helicopter, and of course Through the Fire and Flames. So Anyways, I’m creating matches like nobody’s business, and I’m creaming people – mopping the floor with them. Then this one guy comes along. He selects easy… I laugh a little, and then select Expert. So the first song he picks is Through the Fire and Flames. I consider going back to change my selection to medium, but that’s when it hit me- If I did that, I’d become everything that I hate in the world – a quitter, a sap, a loser. So I went with Expert and said to myself, “No guts, no glory.” Needless to say, I made a fool of myself – but who was the real fool? Someone who actually challenged himself or someone who is a quitter?
So the very next match, I choose Expert, and my opponent chooses Expert. He picks Through the Fire and Flames. I couldn’t believe it. It was better though because we both made fools of ourselves.
Note: If there’s a song that you hate, and you hear it enough times… you still hate it.

Possum

January 12th, 2008

We’ve got a possum! When you move into a house that’s been vacant for over two years, you don’t know what you’ll find. Here are some of the things I found upon searching: a candle stick (no candle), a Bud Lite can, shattered pieces of the NES Rad Racer Wheel, and a possum.

He’s living in our porch, which has a broken hot tub. I’ve still actually never been in that room after living here over a week. It’s not from fear of the possum. I was trying to get in there to get a good picture of the possum for this very blog, but I couldn’t get the door open.
He’d been eating the snow in there, but that all melted about three days ago. I haven’t seen him since which means he either left to find other food, is hibernating, or is decomposing.
