Nintendo Garbage

October 19th, 2007

Well, it’s out with the old and in with the new in my house this week. Since we’re moving a couple states over it became my duty to (Dun Dun Dun) clean out the Nintendo box! This box is filled with old Nintendo “relics” we’ve accumulated over the years from garage sales, FunkoLand Video Game Store, and who knows where else.
Let me just give you a glimpse into what we’ve got in this box. Some people keep their child’s artwork forever. Some people keep movie stubs from dates. You know, mainly sentimental things. I for one, can simply not part with all this crud.
I’ve got a NES steering wheel for playing Rad Racer on the NES that no longer works. I’ve got about 11 N64 games I haven’t played since 2001. I’ve also got two copies of Super Mario Bros. 3, 7 NES controllers, a broken N64 controller, about a dozen AC adapters, and endless miles of cords.
I also have about five SEGA Genesis games (one of them being Sonic the Hedgehog 2, which I downloaded from Virtual Console), and I have a Sega Controller and a Sega Joystick which I think I used to use to play NHL Hockey… but guess what. I have no Sega Genesis. Where did all this come from? I have one SNES controller, but no Super Nintendo Games, no Super Nintendo Cords, no other Super Nintendo controllers, and no Super Nintendo.
Some of this garbage will be up on ebay soon, probably… uh, did I say garbage? I meant priceless Nintendo artifacts that are probably worth millions.
