Super Paper Mario

Saturday, August 25th, 2007

I bought Super Paper Mario this morning. It's possibly my favorite game for the Wii so far - yes, even better than Zelda.
The basic story is Princess Peach is kidnapped again and Mario has to go save her again. The twist is that he has to save her in an alternate dimension where he can change between 2D and 3D. He has to fight the regular kind of enemies you'd find in an alternate dimension.
My favorite part of the game has got to be the stars. You know how in every other Mario game you get a star and you are invincible. Well, that goes for Super Paper Mario but you also grow huge when you get a star. That's right. You grow huge and turn into classic Mario... Huge Invincible Classic Mario - Five words I only dreamed would ever be in a sentence together.
I give this game a 9.8/10. It would've gotten a 10/10 if only it was Huge Invincible Classic Mario with Numchuks.

Internet's Next Craze

Tuesday, August 21st, 2007

There have been many crazes on the Internet.
The next one is going to be this little guy:

: # )

You've seen smileys before: :), :P, :(. Well the last one is more of a frowny.
Anyway, I call my new craze Murry. He is basically a smiley with a mustache.
Here is a little tutorial on how to create your very own Mustache Murry.
- Step 1. Use your left pinky to hold down the Shift Key. While you are holding down the shift key press the semi colon key once. You'll notice that a colon, rather than a semi-colon has appeared on your screen.
- Step 2. Lightly push the space bar once.
- Step 3. Hold down the shift key again, but this time use your right pinky. Make sure that you are pressing down the shift key nearest the right side of the keyboard. Now while the shift key is down press the "3" key once. You'll notice that a pound sign (#) rather than a 3 has appeared on your screen.
- Step 4. Repeat Step 2.
- Step 5.Once more press the shift key with your left pinky. While the shift key is down press the "0" key once. You'll notice that a right parentheses ()) has appeared on your screen in place of a "0".
- Optional Step 6. You can give Mustache Murry a mole if you so desire by pressing the period (.) key once.
Before you'll know it you'll be making Mustache Murry's like nobody's business.

Driving Too Young

Monday, August 20th, 2007

Kids these days are driving too young. I'm not talking about cars, although it does frighten me that in some states 14 year old kids are given a right to drive. I'm talking about shoes.
Yesterday, I went to Wal-Mart to buy some new shoes - they look just like the ones Paul McCartney wore in his itunes commercial. Anyway, as I was trying on some shoes, some kid with spiky hair went zooming past me. After nine more kids zooming past me, I noticed that they had wheels coming out of their shoes.
I'd heard about these somewhere - on the door to the library it strictly forbids the wearing of these shoes.
After a little research, I found out that they are called Heelys - which is a misspelling - it should be Heelies. How lazy are we? Here's an excerpt from the Wikipedia article: "The sport" - that's right. I guess laziness is now a sport - "has quickly been gaining popularity since Heelys first came on the market in 2000. Because wheels with adequately slippery bearings allow the wearer to glide rather than continually take steps..." We are too lazy to take steps. For Crying Out Loud!
